Jenny has a wide ranging public law practice with an emphasis on the development of legislation. In this area, she provides legal input into policy development, advises on how to turn policy into law, and drafts legislation or drafting instructions for submission to the Parliamentary Counsel Office.

Jenny also provides legal advice to a variety of departments and Crown entities, in particular on matters of statutory interpretation and in relation to the Crown Entities Act 2004.

Jenny is a past member of the Wellington District Law Society’s Public Law Committee and a current member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Continuing Legal Education Board’s Administrative and Public Law Consultative Group.
