Ian has a wide commercial and equity litigation practice. Ian has appeared in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Privy Council and before the Commerce Commission and various industry panels. The cases have ranged over company affairs, superannuation, contractual issues, civil disputes generally, charities, judicial review, Maori issues leasing and GST disputes. Ian also undertakes commercial drafting.

Ian was formerly a senior partner at Kensington Swan. He went to the independent bar in 1990 and was made a Queen’s Counsel in 1998.
